WASHINGTON – Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement on the passage of H.Res. 41, a resolution Rejecting White Nationalism and White Supremacy:

“White nationalism and white supremacy are antithetical to what makes this country great and have no place in our public discourse. These hateful ideologies are the motivation behind too many hate incidents that terrorize whole communities. We applaud the near unanimous House of Representatives for passing this long overdue resolution. However, it is not enough. We have an administration that continues to push an agenda that promotes white nationalism and discrimination. Every single member who voted for this resolution should stand against those efforts that seek to promote hatred and bigotry, in whatever form it may take.”
