Americans Should Still Request Converter Box Coupons

January 7, 2009 - Posted by Tyler Lewis

The nation's switch to digital television will occur in just 39 days, on February 17.

The Leadership Conference on Civil Rights (LCCR) continues to urge Americans to apply for converter box coupons despite news that the federal government has reached its coupon funding ceiling.  People who request coupons now will be placed on a waiting list.

"We know leaders on the Hill are working hard to find additional funding to make sure that everyone who needs a coupon can get a coupon," said LCCR President and CEO Wade Henderson.
