WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and its sister organization, The Leadership Conference Education Fund, welcome Dionna Humphrey and Lindsey Montague to the staff. Humphrey will serve as Digital Director and Montague will serve as Creative Director – both serving in an expanded communications department.
“Both Dionna and Lindsey bring expertise and creative leadership to their new roles,” said Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference and The Education Fund. “As our organizations continue to thrive in a complex digital environment, we are excited to have Dionna lead our online efforts to build an America as good as its ideals. Similarly, we look forward to Lindsey’s out-of-the-box approach to thinking creatively about how best to reach and serve our diverse communities.”
Biographical Information
Lindsey Montague has worked as a creative in the advertising industry for more than 16 years on more than 60 major brands, spanning Los Angeles, New York, and now Washington, DC. She has created conscientious ad campaigns for brands like Toyota Prius, Nissan Leaf, K-Y women’s sexual health, Ulta Beauty’s sponsorship of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Pedigree’s dog rescue initiatives, among many others. Just before joining The Leadership Conference/The Education Fund, she worked with Upstream USA to help launch the “Be Your Own Baby” campaign promoting free high-quality birth control for young women in historically underserved communities. Montague received a B.A. in Media Arts & Design at James Madison University.
Dionna Humphrey is a seasoned digital communications professional with more than 15 years of experience in progressive organizations, including MomsRising, Greenpeace, and Share our Strength. She has worked with groups of every size to help create and implement winning online fundraising, advocacy, and social strategies. She has independently consulted with groups including Engage San Diego, Take5 San Francisco, the American Forest Foundation, and SEIU to help them develop digital communications strategies and best practices.
Humphrey is an active volunteer with organizations that serve to feed the homeless and elderly. She has been awarded a 30 under 30 award for young people working to address disparities in women’s health and reproductive justice. Humphrey has helped many organizations shape, refine, or begin their journeys to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
