About the Role:
All Voting is Local fights to eliminate needless and discriminatory barriers to voting before they happen, to build a democracy that works for us all. It is a collaborative campaign housed at The Leadership Conference Education Fund, in conjunction with the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation; the American Constitution Society; the Campaign Legal Center; and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. The All Voting is Local, Program Associate will perform a variety of programmatic, policy, and administrative tasks within the team, supporting DC-based and state staff in a fast-paced environment. This is a term-limited position through December 2021.
What You Will Do:
- Assist with and occasionally lead on the research for and writing of state reports, blog posts, written testimonies, op-eds and other messaging materials
- Research state based voting policy, identifying solutions in an effort to advance state priorities
- Attend state team meetings and keep abreast of programmatic priorities and facilitate the execution of state-based work
- Assist with the drafting and editing of materials for distribution to state and national partners.
- Schedule meetings within the team and with other staff members at the organization.
- Provide strategic management and oversight of the campaign director’s schedule, make determinations on scheduling priorities, and support on preparation for and follow up from meetings, including note taking.
- Assist with operational and administrative tasks including processing credit card statements, expense reimbursements, and invoices for the full team, drafting contracts and subgrants, and communicating with vendors and consultants
- Ensure that meetings, deadlines, presentations, and other duties of the DC-based team are carried out seamlessly.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including management of special projects and initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
- Project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in or experience with voting rights policy both at the state and national level
- Experience in an administrative or executive assistant role where duties included schedule management and office coordination. A commitment to human and civil rights.
- The ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and to handle complex and competing priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, sound judgement, confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, database systems and internet research.

Salary Range – $55,801 – $59,843
