WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and 74 civil rights, religious, and progressive groups sent a letter to the Senate expressing serious concerns about William Barr’s nomination to be U.S. Attorney General. William Barr’s track record raises serious concerns about his willingness to vigorously enforce our nation’s civil rights laws.
WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights wrote members of the 116th Congress outlining the coalition’s legislative and oversight goals for the next two years. Achieving these priorities, which the coalition’s 11 task forces developed, would kickstart much-needed reforms to advance social and economic justice in this country. From the Civil Rights Act of 1957 to the present day, The Leadership Conference has led national efforts to pass and enforce the strongest civil rights protections possible.
