In USA Today Commentary, Civil and Human Rights Leader Lambasts Corrupt Records Process

WASHINGTON – In a USA Today opinion piece, Lena Zwarensteyn, fair courts campaign director at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, discusses the unprecedented, partisan, and dangerous records review process for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“Day two of Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation hearing has made clear that too many questions from his political operative days in the George W. Bush White House remain unanswered. We must know more about our Supreme Court nominees,” said Zwarensteyn.  “To make an informed decision, all 100 senators, and the millions of Americans they represent, need to see Kavanaugh’s full White House record. And if they cannot, senators must vote to oppose Kavanaugh’s confirmation. Too much is at stake to do otherwise.”
