PRESS CALL THURSDAY: Civil Rights Leaders Outline Implications Following Masterpiece Ruling

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, June 7 at 4:00 p.m. ET, civil rights leaders will hold a telephone press briefing on the broad implications of the recent Supreme Court decision in Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The Court ruled narrowly in favor of the Cakeshop owner but maintained the longstanding principle that business owners cannot deny equal access to goods and services. These leaders will make clear that the Supreme Court’s ruling did not issue a license for businesses to discriminate.
