WASHINGTON – In the wake of Justice Anthony Kennedy’s retirement, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights launched a new website, SaveSCOTUS.org, to serve as a resource platform for critical information about the importance of the Supreme Court and the need for President Trump to nominate an independent, fair-minded justice who will protect the rights of all.

“The Supreme Court serves as the last line of defense for civil and human rights ─ and the legacy of its rulings endures for generations,” said Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference. “All senators need to put country over party and use all tools available to stop President Trump’s plan to appoint a justice who will rewrite the Constitution and roll back decades of progress. No one should be considered for the Supreme Court until the people have a say in November.”

The website includes the latest news from The Leadership Conference and its coalition members and partners, background on the integral role the Supreme Court plays in our government, and a petition to demand a fair-minded constitutionalist to replace Justice Kennedy.
