The Leadership Conference, The Education Fund Add to Development and Communications Teams

WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and its sister organization, The Leadership Conference Education Fund, welcomed Ron Goines as the Director of Major Gifts and Corporate Relations and Rafael Medina as a Communications Manager.
“We are delighted to welcome Ron and Rafael to our team,” said Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference and The Education Fund. “They both bring extensive knowledge to our organizations as we work to bring forth bold solutions and protect the civil and human rights of the communities our coalition serves.”
Ron Goines is a seasoned fundraising professional with more than ten years of development experience. He most recently served as Senior Director of Individual Giving for the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Atlanta. He has also worked as Vice President for Development with Planned Parenthood Southeast and managed the major and annual giving programs in Planned Parenthood’s Gulf Coast region. Prior to that, Goines was the Director of Corporate Relations and Special Events at AIDS Foundation Houston. Goines holds a bachelor’s degree in politics from Oberlin College.
Rafael Medina is a bilingual communications professional with a background in immigration and social media engagement. He most recently worked at the Center for American Progress on the organization’s Immigration Policy and Puerto Rico Relief and Economic Policy Initiative teams. Medina is a Los Angeles native and holds a bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in education studies from UCLA.
