Americans Support Infrastructure Spending, Will Congress Pass a Bill?

I saw this chart over at Matt Yglesias’ place.

American's views on job creating strategies

Eighty percent of those polled say that we should spend money on infrastructure.

Keep that in mind next week when the Senate votes on a piece of President Obama’s American Jobs Act that will invest $60 billion in the nation’s infrastructure and when the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works begins working on a bill that will provide funding for two years to update the nation’s transportation system.

Hopefully, senators will hear what Americans want.
