New e-Toolkit Aims to Help Activists Mobilize a Voting Rights Fix
When the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in June that Section 4b of the Voting Rights Act (VRA) was unconstitutional, it invited Congress to create an updated formula so that Section 5 – the portion of the law that provides for the preclearance requirement – could again be enforced.
The Leadership Conference Education Fund has assembled a new e-toolkit to encourage local organizations, activists, and communities to take action. The e-toolkit includes talking points and factsheets, sample social media messages, a PowerPoint presentation, and other sample materials for taking action.
With the voting rights of millions of U.S. citizens in jeopardy, the time for Congress to act is now. Learn more about our growing movement to restore the VRA and ensure that everyone has access to the ballot.
