Storytelling Project Highlights Need for Immigration Reform
The Center for Digital Storytelling held a workshop in Washington, D.C. on November 9 as part of its All Together Now project to inspire and collect intergenerational stories of the civil and human rights movement. A number of those who participated in the workshop talked about the challenges of growing up in the United States as undocumented and the need for comprehensive immigration reform.

The All Together Now project, cosponsored by The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, is continuing throughout the country with workshops scheduled for December 7 in Oakland and December 14 in Denver.
Participants share their stories during public “Storied Sessions” and then upload these contributions with an accompanying picture to a portal where the body of work is showcased. Visitors can also upload their own stories, the result of which could potentially be hundreds of stories vitalizing the collective legacy of civil and human rights. Additional national partners of the All Together Now project include Southern Poverty Law Center, Color of Change, Equal Justice Society, and many others. If you’d like to attend a workshop, please fill out an application.
