Deadline for David Carliner Public Interest Lawyer Award Is March 14
The
American Constitution Society (ACS) is accepting applications for the 2011 David Carliner
Public Interest Award through March 14. The
$10,000 award is for mid-career public interest lawyers whose work exemplifies
its namesake’ commitment to advocacy on behalf of marginalized people.
Wade
Henderson, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights,
is among the panel judges for the 2011 award, which also includes:

Wald, Former Chief Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and Former

Carliner, Attorney; Vice President, ACLU-NCA - Jacob
Remes, ACLS/Mellon Fellow, Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and
Culture, Concordia University
