Civil Rights Coalition Urges Confirmation of Third Circuit Judge

Today, Wade Henderson, president of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, released the following statement urging the U.S. Senate to confirm the President’s nominee to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, Joseph Greenaway:

“Judge Greenaway is unquestionably qualified to serve on the Third Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals, and has a proven record as an even-handed and fair-minded jurist. Given the high number of vacancies on the bench and the strain of mounting caseloads, there is no justifiable reason to delay the confirmation of Judge Greenaway – a nominee with bipartisan support who was approved unanimously by the Judiciary Committee.  The Senate should confirm Judge Greenaway as soon as possible.”
