Mary Frances Berry
As a member of the Civil Rights Commission since 1980, Berry has been a leader in a number of national civil rights initiatives and has received 28 honorary degrees from a wide variety of universities, with several books to her credit on such as women’s rights, parenting, and the black experience in America.
Honorable Charles McC. Mathias, Jr.
Elected president of the North Atlantic Assembly, the organization of NATO parliamentarians, having served as vice-president and as chairman of the United States Senate delegation, Senator Mathias served on the Kaiser Commission on the Future of Medicaid.
Honorable Parren Mitchell
Prior to his election to the House, Mitchell served his nation and community in a number of capacities. A founding member of the Congressional Black Caucus, Mitchell was a strong advocate for disadvantaged and minority business enterprises, working to ensure their viability.
