Trump Continues His Dehumanizing Comments on Immigrants

WASHINGTON – Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, responded to President Trump’s reference to certain immigrants as “animals”:

“Donald Trump has shown yet again why he lacks any moral authority. Since announcing his candidacy, he has strategically deployed dehumanizing language and scare tactics to ostracize, harm, and attack certain communities. White House officials say that those who condemn Trump’s despicable language owe him an apology. They are terribly mistaken. If anyone should apologize, it is the president – but we will not hold our breath.”
