Trump Must Fire White Nationalist Stephen Miller

WASHINGTON – Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement calling on President Trump to fire White House senior advisor Stephen Miller:

“We have repeatedly called on Trump to fire Stephen Miller, who has stoked bigotry, hate, and division through his extreme political rhetoric and policies. Trump is overdue in his duty to personally and unequivocally denounce white supremacy, violent extremism, and hate in all its forms. This includes removing hate enthusiasts from the administration.

“Supporters of white supremacists, racial bigotry, and neo-Nazis should not be allowed to serve at any level of government, let alone in the White House. Unless and until Trump fires Stephen Miller and all who promulgate bigotry and hate – and abandons his administration’s anti-civil rights agenda, including the Muslim ban and family separation – he will continue to be responsible for the violence fueled by that hate. Trump must remove Stephen Miller from the White House.”
