WASHINGTON Wade Henderson, interim president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, released the following statement following the Senate’s vote to confirm Myrna Pérez to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit:

“Pérez is exceedingly qualified to serve on the Second Circuit. She has dedicated her career to pursuing equal justice for all, protecting the freedom to vote, and safeguarding our democracy. As a daughter of Mexican immigrants, Pérez will add valuable life experience to the court. Our federal judiciary is in great need of jurists like Pérez, and we know she will be a magnificent addition to the bench.”
