ADVISORY – Defining Our Dignity: Confronting the Collateral Consequences of Incarceration

WASHINGTON – On Thursday, April 26, at 9:00 a.m. ET, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, ACLU, Sentencing Project, and National Employment Law Project, in conjunction with Representative Bobby Scott, will hold a screening of Survivors Guide to Prison and a panel discussion with formerly incarcerated advocates who have been impacted by the collateral consequences of incarceration.

The panel and film will explore re-entry issues, including voting rights, fair chance hiring and licensing, and education. This is one in a series of activities to support Second Chance Month and the dignity and potential of all people.
