WASHINGTON – Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement on President Trump’s move to end subsidies for certain health care plans:

“Health care is a fundamental right for all in America. President Trump’s actions today attack that fundamental right and threaten the lives of millions. Congress needs to continue to stand up for this fundamental right and for the people who depend on these critical subsidies for their health care. There is no compromise on civil or human rights.”
