The Leadership Conference Joins an Amicus Brief in Alexander v. South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP
On August 18, 2023, The Leadership Conference joined an amicus brief in Alexander v. South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP, arguing to the U.S. Supreme Court that partisanship can never be a defense to claims of racial gerrymandering, and that the Constitution is still violated if race was used as the predominant means to distribute voters, even if to achieve a partisan goal.
