The Leadership Conference Filed an Amicus Brief in Fisher v. University of Texas at Austin
On August 13, 2012, The Leadership Conference filed a brief with The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, et al., arguing, in line with Grutter, that diversity in education remains a compelling state interest and that universities must have latitude to consider race as part of “holistic, individualized admissions decisions.”
