WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and All Voting is Local, with its joint And Still I Vote campaign, will hold a Facebook Live event on Tuesday, September 22 at 5:30 p.m. ET in celebration of National Voter Registration Day. With voting registration numbers down and the election only 43 days away, speakers will urge individuals to exercise their right to vote by checking their registration, registering to vote, and encouraging others to take part in democracy.
This event is a part of Turn Up Tuesdays, a weekly, national call to action to make sure people are informed and activated to vote in the general election. Turn Up Tuesdays is dedicated to ensuring that the general election is not characterized by the disarray that voters experienced across the country during the primaries, in states like Wisconsin and Georgia.
