Masks Off, Rights On

Unmasking Federal Agents: Demanding Transparency and Accountability

Our communities are under threat. ICE and other federal agencies are deploying masked, unidentified operatives into our streets, schools, and neighborhoods—sowing fear and chaos under the guise of law enforcement. These actions harm our communities and make us all less safe.

We’re demanding immediate action to rein in this abuse.

The Risks of Masked Law Enforcement

When federal agents exercise their authority, including the power to arrest people, the public has the right to know for certain that those agents work for the government and the agency they represent.

Masked government agents that conceal their identities don’t just instill fear—they erode trust, undermine due process, and strip citizens of their ability to hold power accountable.

Agent anonymity also creates a terrifying loophole for criminals: If law enforcement won’t identify themselves, anyone can put on a mask and pretend to be an officer.
