The Leadership Conference’s Statement on Court Ruling Halting Trump’s Anti-Voter Executive Order

WASHINGTON — Leslie Proll, senior director of the voting rights program at The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruling halting the Trump Administration’s executive order on elections:

“Today’s ruling to block a dangerous overreach of executive power is a critical win for protecting voters. We believe every voter deserves to have their voice heard and vote counted.

”We’re proud to join our coalition partners in fighting back and resisting the attacks on the freedom to vote. We’ll keep pushing forward until every voter, no matter their background, can cast a ballot without barriers or political interference.”
