The Leadership Conference Filed an Amicus Brief in Conde-Vidal, et al. v. Rius-Armendariz, et al.

On February 2, 2015, The Leadership Conference filed a brief in support of Plaintiffs-Appellees urging the Court to analyze Puerto Rico’s marriage bans under a heightened scrutiny standard. We argued that the traditional equal protection framework articulated in Massachusetts v. U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, 682 F.3d 1 (1st Cir. 2012) no longer applies.
