On January 20, 2021, The Leadership Conference joined an amicus brief in Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee, which argues that the Court should continue to interpret Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act in a robust manner to ensure that communities of color remain protected from discriminatory election changes by state and local governments.
