On April 18, 2019, The Leadership Conference joins an amicus brief in California v. U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services (HHS), which argues that using religion as a justification to deny contraceptives in educational institutions (1) contradicts the ACA’s purpose of promoting access to women’s healthcare, and thus violate the Administrative Procedure Act (APA); and (2) would cause irreparable harm to Appellees.
