The Leadership Conference Joins an Amicus Brief in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo
On September 25, 2023, The Leadership Conference joined an amicus brief in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, urging the U.S. Supreme Court to protect “Chevron deference”, a longstanding legal principle in which administrative agencies are afforded reasonable discretion to interpret laws passed by Congress, which if upended could hinder an agency’s ability to advance civil rights.
