WHAT: Press conference at which an unprecedented coalition of democracy, environmental, good government and other groups will detail the broad local, state and national support of the For the People Act (H.R. 1) and discuss its path to success post-introduction.

Americans nationwide have demanded these proposed reforms. In light of voting rights suppression across many states, foreign election interference cited by U.S. intelligence agencies, an increase in blatant conflict of interests among federal appointees and the sheer number of indictments and convictions secured by Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible 2016 election interference, the For the People Act and democracy reform is critical to America’s future, and organizations across many issue areas are working together in new ways to achieve change.
