WASHINGTON – The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is launching its Make History campaign to spotlight the essential role the private sector plays in building an America as good as its ideals. The launch is accompanied by print and online ads, in space generously donated by the Financial Times.

The Make History campaign challenges corporate partners to champion social justice and take socially responsible action. Corporations can use their reach, expertise, and on-the-ground experience to advance civil rights and promote and protect our highest values of justice, fairness, and inclusion.

“Corporations increasingly recognize their responsibility to focus on more than just their bottom line — their practices must also personify our nation’s highest values,” says Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. “The nationwide calls for justice make one thing clear: Change is happening now, and companies are either watching history — or making it.”

Corporations interested in learning more about the Make History campaign should contact Ron Goines, director of major gifts and corporate relations, at [email protected].

The Leadership Conference also recently placed advertisements in support of the March on Washington in several downtown Washington, D.C. locations.
