WASHINGTON — Rob Randhava, senior policy counsel for The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement on Attorney General Merrick Garland’s call on the legal community to volunteer to help confront the ongoing housing and evictions crisis:
“Families shouldn’t be forced out of their homes just because they’ve faced financial hardships during the pandemic. We applaud Attorney General Garland for calling on the legal community to help those in need, particularly those in the most vulnerable communities who have been hit hardest by this crisis. We urge those with the right legal skills and knowledge to do their part to help.”
