WASHINGTON – Wade Henderson, interim president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, released the following statement on the Senate’s vote to confirm Judge Michael Nachmanoff to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia:

Our courts need more highly qualified jurists with experience ensuring access to justice for all people. Judge Nachmanoff has impressive credentials and experience as a federal magistrate judge and a public defender. He has dedicated his career to improving the criminal-legal system, and he will be a tremendous asset to the Eastern District of Virginia.”
